Ketchup, Anyone?

While devouring our fish sticks this weekend (the pantry was getting pretty bare), Ed was reading the ketchup bottle. Not much to read, right?

Then he showed me the bottle, and pointed this out:

“I don’t see any ketchup in this picture,” he said. “What kind of serving suggestion is this? Should we pitch the ketchup and just have real tomatoes instead?”

On an unrelated note, Ed doesn’t understand why garlic bread is served with spaghetti. There’s already plenty of carbs in pasta, so why serve garlic bread?

Oh, I don’t know, Ed. Because garlic bread is DELICIOUS?

Speaking of delicious, have you ever heard anyone laugh in their sleep? Every once in a while, my three year old does, and it’s just the cutest sound I’ve ever heard!

It’s been so long since I’ve written Random Tuesday Thoughts that I’m sure Keely at The Un-Mom has forgotten all about me. She has a brand new button. At least, it’s new to me!

  1. Good Morning Ginny Sweetie…Oh what a precious share today. I would take the tomatoes by themselves anytime. Nothing like a fresh tomatoe. I could eat them right off the vine, washed in the well water. Yep sure could. Now let me tell you what my Grandma told me. Little children like your 3 year old, Grandma says the angels play with them in their sleep and they laugh and smile. Babies up through 3 or 4. I would say someone was playing in her sleep. Relaxing her and allowing her a peaceful slumber. How precious that is. Thank you for sharing, as you just gave me a beautiful memory of my Grandma. Many hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry

  2. My kids laugh in their sleep too! And tell Ed I guess, that it's the garlic that goes with spaghetti, we just need the bread to have smething to put it on!!Have a great week!!

  3. Hi! I'm a fellow "Spring Chicken." My daughter laughs in her sleep, too, and it is the best thing in the world. It makes me feel so happy, and it's so darn cute. Now about that garlic bread, my husband and I have the same argument. I'm on the not understanding it side. I've never been able to get the carbs with carbs thing. My mother actually eats bread with her rice, and that always weirded me out a little, too. My husband loves himself some bread with just about anything though.

  4. You should send those photos to Jay Leno for his "headlines" on Monday nights. What were the label designers thinking?!? 🙂

  5. Greetings from a fellow spring chicken :)That "serving suggestion" is really funny! As far as I'm concerned, garlic bread can be served with just about anything. In fact, I think I might need to go get some right now.

  6. I have to admit something. I don't laugh in my sleep, but I have woken myself quite a few times doing a horse's neigh. Don't ask me why on earth I do it, I don't dream of horses or anything, I just seem to do it. Not as cute as your princess laughing in her sleep. In fact, just, plain, weird.

  7. LOL! Hey Spring Chicken – awesome random thoughts. I love the sound of any and all laughter but 3 yo sleep laughter is the best!

  8. That is so bizarre about the serving size. And I am with you on the garlic bread, yummmm!I have never heard my kids laugh in their sleep, but I just check on them once before I go to sleep so they might and I don't even know. But my husband, he is a HUGE laugher in his sleep. He is such a laugher throughout the day, everything is funny and comedy with him, so it doesn't surprise me at all. He will be literally screaming with laughter in the middle of the night and now even wake up or remember!Spring Chickens rock!

  9. We never have spaghetti without garlic bread! Yes I have heard the giggle in the sleep and it can only mean sweet dreams. That's a good thing.
