Goodbye, HASAY; I Hardly Knew Ye

Well, I’m still wearing those fat girl jeans, but I’m wearing them with a belt!

The day I signed up for Club Half as Small as You to help me lose weight, my husband came home from work with two boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Then, he bought another box at church the following Sunday. I swear he was trying to sabotage me! But I was strong, and only my daughters ate from those cookie boxes (mostly). I’ve started grabbing an apple instead of crackers as a snack, and the good thing that follows is that the girls will ask me for an apple, too. (Note to self; buy more apples.)

While my eating habits haven’t changed dramatically, I think I’m heading in the right direction. Now that the weather is nicer, I hope to get outside and get moving, too!

Casey, our HASAY leader, has decided to end HASAY, so this will be my last HASAY post. I think I’ll be able to do this on my own. Thanks, Casey, for getting me started!

Carrot stick, anyone?

  1. I know what I'm supposed to do to. Or I did know..then I blew it…then…my corn allergy got worse and I've been forced to eat better! So that's a good thing! 🙂

  2. Oh Ginny Marie Sweetie…You can do it, I know you can. You are a very strong woman. I too am battling my weight. I want to get rid of my insulin shots or at least half of them. I take 6 per day plus my oral meds. It is very hard on my body. I am tired of getting poked. I strated 3 weeks ago and according to the scales I have lost 20 pounds. No carbs of any kind. Meats and vegetable and fruits and salad only. No rice, potatoes, pasta, carrots or peas. I love broccoli, green beans, cauliflower and asparagus. Not a fun diet, but a healthy one. I will keep you posted and encouraged also. One day at a time girl. One day at a time.Have a beautiful evening. Country hugs sweet gal, love ya, Sherry
